How do I resolve issues with lost settings during TI-Nspire Family software version 3.6 upgrade?

If your settings have become lost during an upgrade to TI-Nspire Family software version 3.6 you can use the steps below to migrate your settings.

Before following these steps please verify the following items:

• Verify you have administrator access on the computer as the migration script needs admin access to write files.
• Verify your computer is not using folder redirection as the script will not work under this environment.

Windows®:

• Download the file MigrateTINspireSettingsto36.exe.
• Once downloaded [Right-Click] the file and choose the option [Run As Adminstrator] if you are using Windows® Vista, 7 or 8 or the option [Open] if you are using Windows® XP.

Please Note: The script may take up to 2 minutes to complete.

• Next the below dialog will be displayed click [OK] on the dialog and then launch your TI-Nspire Family Software and verify the migration was successful.



Mac® OS X®:

• Download the file MigrateTINspireSettingsto36.zip.
• Once downloaded [Double-Click] the file to extract the App inside
• Next press and hold the [Ctrl] key and click the file to diplay the options menu and choose [Open]

• Depending on your Mac® OS X® version the below dialog may be displayed click [Open] to continue.



Please Note: The script may take up to 2 minutes to complete.

• Next the below dialog will be displayed click [OK] on the dialog and then launch your TI-Nspire Family Software and verify the migration was successful.
