Solution 36414: Troubleshooting Wireless Incompatibilty With TI-Nspire Family Handhelds (Operating Systems 3.6 and 3.9) and the TI-Nspire™ Navigator™ System
When attempting to use the TI-Nspire Navigator system, why doesn't wireless connectivity in my mixed classroom of TI-Nspire Handhelds with Operating Systems 3.6 and 3.9 work?
With the 3.9 release of the TI-Nspire Family, wireless infrastructure improvements were made, and these improvements have made communication incompatible with version 3.6. If you are using a mixed classroom with students and teachers on different versions, wireless communication will not work. The solution to this issue is to have both the TI-Nspire Navigator Teacher Software and all handhelds updated to version 3.9.
Please note that version 3.6 of the TI-Nspire Navigator Teacher Software can wirelessly upgrade handhelds to version 3.9, but version 3.9 of the TI-Nspire Navigator Teacher Software can only update handhelds via USB.
