How do I find the Row Echelon form of a matrix on the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators?
To find the Row Echelon form of a matrix, input the matrix, exit the matrix editor, and then paste the ref() function on the home screen with the name of the matrix. The example below will demonstrate this procedure.Example: Find the ref() of matrix [A]
To enter the matrix:
1) Press [2nd] [x-1] to access the Matrix menu
2) Press [→] [→] to access the Edit menu
3) Press [1] to edit Matrix A
4) Input the dimensions by pressing 2 [ENTER] 3 [ENTER]
